Is MATH on your résumé?

For Sales Jobs, Your Résumé Should Tout Your Math Skills
Even though there's no particular reason why selling would require math skills, employers with sales openings express much greater interest in résumés that show course work or club activities suggesting that candidates have ability in mathematics, say Cory Koedel and Eric Tyhurst of the University of Missouri. The effect, which applies only to résumés displaying relatively high levels of education, is as powerful as the impact of listing an additional 1 to 6 years of work experience on your CV. The researchers sent out fictitious résumés for males in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.

  1. I updated my resume to show MBA course work that includes finance and accounting. I also added language lessons I took while on vacation in Italy for 3 weeks and my semester in Spain.
